For those unfamiliar with MAGP (or its predecessor series, The Magnus Archives), it’s a horror podcast series about researchers and civil servants in the UK trying to catalogue supernatural and esoteric incidents. What begins as a sort of "spooky case of the week" series soon peels back the curtains on larger, more terrifying conspiracies...
And I got to be a part of it!
WORK YOUR FINGERS TO THE BONE is set within the halls of Elric Capital, a Manchester hedge fund that makes millions by investing in the weird and spooky: mad science, hauntings, demonic possessions. You know. Normal, ethical stuff. Our protagonist is thrust into this world when he comes across a strange artefact hidden in his dead boss’s possessions. He probably should’ve left it alone… but then, we wouldn’t have had a book, would we?
Aside from the setup, I can’t talk much about the plot. But I can say how grateful I am to have been invited into this universe. Thank you to the Rusty Quill team, especially Alex, Jonny, and Callum. You’re all stars!
